Moray, a town in Maras, and the Salineras or Salt Mines, is located approximately 1 hour and a half to the west of the city of Cusco in Urubamba. Here, you can also practice mountain biking due to the varied terrain in the area. The average altitude is 3,400 meters above sea level. From this place, you can observe the chain of snow-capped mountains in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our outings are daily.
Hotel pickup at around 08:40 am in our Tourist Bus. We head to Maras Village, where you can appreciate colonial-era buildings, facades, and very narrow streets. Then, we travel 9 kilometers to reach the archaeological center of Moray, a place that served as an agricultural experiment in Inca times, with each terrace having a different temperature according to studies conducted.
After visiting Moray, we continue the journey to the next point of interest, this time to the Maras Salt Mines. The site is located in an area of 50 square meters, geographically situated on a slope called Qaqawiñay. People fill the holes with saltwater, which emanates from a spring located at the top of the complex. Our guide will provide you with more detailed information. In the place, you can purchase handicrafts made from salt. After visiting the site, we will return to the city of Cusco, with an estimated arrival time of 3:00 pm, concluding our service.

After the tour you can take a walk through the Plaza de Armas and its surroundings, where you can appreciate the work of Cusco artisans in the craft stores. You can also taste the famous and unmatched Peruvian cuisine in the nearby restaurants or you can simply take a break on one of the benches in the Plaza de Armas and appreciate the panorama and take the classic photo to remember in a warm atmosphere despite the cold of the Cusco nights. And if you like the night around the square you will find many clubs and bars full of tourists and locals waiting to have fun.
